About me
Hi, I am Bent Van den Eynde. I started my college studies in Applied Computer Science, driven by a passion for programming and building applications, which I had enjoyed during high school. However, after discovering cybersecurity in my first year of college, I became more drawn to this field and decided to shift my focus. I am now pursuing a degree in Cloud & Cyber Security at Thomas More Geel, where I am deepening my expertise in this area.
Thorough
When I work on something, I like to be thorough about what I deliver. Think of spelling checks or making sure there are no warnings in code. Sometimes small things, but when overlooked they can have big consequences.
Online
Since I started my degree in IT, I have become part of online communities. As BentVdE, you can find me streaming on Twitch from time to time, or watching other people's livestreams and talking with the other people in chat. I also chat on Discord with the people I meet, whether it is about something funny that happened in everyday life, or some genuine concerns. It's my version of online networking - informal, but in no way less valuable.
Hobbies
I like to unwind through gaming or spending time with friends. I also enjoy doing livestreams just for fun. I don't try to turn everything into a hustle. Sometimes, doing things just because you enjoy them keeps you motivated in serious work.
